GET INVOLVED

The stories listed here are the ones we believe need attention at this time:
this is the reason why you might see different stories as hopefully each and every one of these
 requests
will be answered thanks to your kind effort and support!

BURSARY

All children entering the Calleri ECDC are formed and helped to proceed to further education in the government school at age 6.

They are refused admission unless having the required uniform and school materials.

“Our” 185 kids are below poverty level and are aged between 2 and 5 years old.

Let’s provide them with what they need to continue education and their path to a better future.

NHIF

…stands for National Health Insurance Funds.
In Kenya NHIF not only covers the person insured, but also any minor under their care.

Mr. Watchman, who protects the Calleri ECDC from the terrible elephants attacks, needs to be insured...you know just in case the ellies win him out.

CARNIVORE DAY

Up in Wamba, kids go to school to learn, play and have lunch.

For most of them the school meal is the only food they receive in a day.

We shall celebrate the “carnivore day” three times a month instead of once a month!

The celebration consist in slaughtering a goat and cooking it in our brand new stove

HURUMA SISTERS

The Huruma Sisters take care of mentally and physically challenged children which would not be able to survive in the bush with their families.

Due to the very high demand they have started the construction of a new home called Divine Providence Home.

They are asking support to finish the construction and be able to welcome many more less fortunate ones.

WIFI x WCH

In the middle of the bush, rises the Wamba Catholic Hospital with 300 beds + 10 doctors
+ infinite nurses.

This is the modern version of “E.T. PHONE HOME”

Jokes aside, the WCH really needs to be connected
to the outside world.

LINEN LADIES

Once upon a time, there were 4 ‘lovely-linen-ladies’ working hard to tailor surgeons uniforms, bedsheets, hospital cloths and infinite children ward’s pyjamas.

That time blew away and Joan, the one remaining lady, is ensuring this work continues to be done.

Her sewing machine deserves an honourable restyling!
Bonus is with it she will make new school uniforms for our little ones at Calleri ECDC.
